Your Body Mass Index
Find your height and then go over to where the weight is. Where they intersect is your BMI:
- BMI > 25 = Overweight
- BMI > 30 = Obese
- Be sure to stay out of the red zone!
If your protruding abdomen is making it difficult or even impossible for you to see the scale, it's time to start losing weight.
Studies have documented a positive correlation between abdominal fat in men and their risks for heart attack.
Think thin. Think survival.
Weighing yourself more than once a week is discouraging to your efforts and should be avoided. If you exercise aerobically four or more times per week and keep your intake of calories down, expect to lose around two pounds each week.
Remember, this is a lifetime commitment. Do it properly and be patient with yourself.
